Off-Season Sports at Clemens
Off-season is something many people have mixed feelings about, but in most cases athletes see it in a negative light. The main offseason going on currently is the volleyball and football off-season.
In the girls perspective there have always been mixed views on off season because of course we want to be playing our sport instead of lifting weights and doing agilities. But we want to get better, we believe that off-season is necessary but there should be a better balance between being able to play and work out. Maybe one day running and agilities and one day lifting then we play the other three days.
In the boys perspective for football off-season is still viewed in a semi negative light but the boys tend to take better to the weight room and strength and conditioning. Still wanting to play their sport more they take to a off-season workout better than other groups do.
It’s is believed that we need off-season and we see it as a necessity in Sports life we still think that the balance of actually playing the sport and working in the weight room and strength and conditioning should be fixed. Athletes need to still be able to play their sport without having to worry about the wear and tear on their bodies from off season.
