Junior year is said to be the hardest and longest of them all. Juniors have SATs to take, career plans to make, and colleges to tour. These added expectations and responsibilities create a diversity of opinions among students.
In most high schools, upperclassman complain about their junior year. A common perception of junior year is that classes are more difficult and extracurricular activities can make your schedule hectic.
“I was told that junior year sucked, and that it was going to be very difficult, and honestly, they weren’t wrong,” Ben Ford (11) said.
On the other hand, some students like Priscilla Padilla (12) feel that her eleventh grade was not as bad as others portray it to be. She saw her junior year as a great experience.
“Junior year was tough at first but it became really good knowing that I was one step closer to senior year,” Padilla said. “You’re one step closer to your last year of highschool so junior year was great in that aspect.”
Hopefully eleventh grade is one of those years you will look back on, and wonder where it all went. It is a cumulation of all the hard work and fun times you have had as a highschooler. The opinion of students varies as to the degree of difficulty, but in the end, you will all prevail and overcome. Junior year is what you make of it, so make it great.
